Last year, two big banks reviewed their agencies and decided to switch – TD moved from Draftfcb to Leo Burnett, and CIBC moved from Publicis to Juniper Park. Now we’re getting to see the results of the new partnerships.

In this ad for its coincounting services produced by Wilfrid Park, TD returns to the black and white family-photo-album feel that viewers will remember from its 2011 “Open on Sundays” commercials, though gone are the two grumpy old men featured in most recent TD work.

Leo Burnett – Life with Jars

When TD switched to Leo Burnett, the company said it was looking to consolidate its offline and digital ads. You can see the new strategy in action with these matching coin-jar billboards around Toronto.

Meanwhile, CIBC has released this ad for its new “banking bundles,” a service that offers rebates to customers who bring all their accounts and credit cards to CIBC. As with most personal banking ads, the focus is on convenience.
