Four Canadian agencies remain in the running for a Media Lion at the International Festival of Creativity. The shortlist of contenders was released Tuesday morning in Cannes.
DDB Canada Vancouver scored a nod in the Food & Drinks category for “Snack Time,” an animated series the agency created for Milk West.
That campaign previously won gold at the Marketing Awards in both 2015 and 2016.
Launched in 2014, the series has become a staple for Milk West with nearly 60 episodes to date. In the past three months alone, new additions to the “Snack Time” saga have garnered more than a million views on YouTube.
J. Walter Thompson Toronto also appeared on the shortlist, for the pet-friendly food truck produced for Walmart Canada for the Woofstock dog festival in Toronto.
Mediacom Toronto is shortlisted for “Skittles Holiday Pawn Shop,” another big winner at the 2016 Marketing Awards, where the campaign took home multiple Gold M trophies. The creative agency behind that campaign was BBDO Toronto. The campaign was also shortlisted earlier in the week in the Direct competition.
OMD Canada Toronto earned a spot on the shortlist for its work for Mercedes-Benz Canada. BBDO Toronto handled the creative for the entry.
The Media Lions will be handed at an awards gala on Wednesday in Cannes.
