Movember is upon us and a handful of Marketing staffers are freshly shorn… all in the name of men’s health.

Every Monday, Marketing will update the ‘stache status of its Movember participants.

This first check-in catches Russ Martin and Jeromy Lloyd on the second day after shaving.

Martin, a writer, sported a thin and well-groomed beard until Oct. 31. No more! He began November with the fresh face he wore as a Marketing intern in 2008. He also reports being “shocked” by the price of good moisturizer (which he chose for its fancy branding).

Lloyd, the online editor, has had a beard for most of the last decade, and says he misses the warmth it provided on his walk to the office. He also says he now “looks weird.” His wife, however, is nothing but amused.

You can see Martin and Lloyd’s progress in the terrifying close-ups at the left and right.
