BMW names new director of communications

Carmaker promotes long-time BMW staffer Marc Belcourt

BMW Group Canada has appointed Marc Belcourt to the role of director, corporate communications.

In his new position, Belcourt will be responsible for leading the corporate communications function in Canada, encompassing all BMW Group products and services.

Belcourt joined BMW in 1998 and has held senior marketing and communications positions with BMW Motorrad, Mini and BMW. Most recently, he was responsible for the implementation and launch of BMW i, the company’s electric vehicle sub-brand.

“Having managed brand strategy for BMW and Mini, Marc has direct experience with the ever-changing media landscape and will undoubtedly position BMW Group as a leader in the industry,” said Alexander Bilgeri, VP, corporate communications Americas at BMW Group.

“His creative approach to increasing brand strength and product appeal will be an asset for the Group in Canada.”
