Camp Jefferson hires vice-president, head of planning

Industry vet Doug Potwin joins the agency's Toronto office from Ogilvy & Mather

Vision7 agency, Camp Jefferson, has hired industry veteran Doug Potwin as its vice-president and head of planning.

Potwin was most recently with Ogilvy & Mather where he ran strategic planning for nearly five years.

“Doug is clearly one of the country’s leading planners and we’re very excited to have him join our team,” stated Peter Bolt, senior vice-president and managing partner at Camp Jefferson, in a release.

He cited Potwin’s drive and creativity as being “a perfect fit for what we’re doing here at Camp Jefferson and what our clients have come to expect from us.”

Potwin has spent more than 20 years in the industry working on brands such as Molson, American Express and Ford.

He most recently won a Cassies Gold as part of the team that developed the Nabob “Respect the Bean” campaign.

In a statement, Potwin said he was drawn to Camp Jefferson’s “entrepreneurial and creative spirit.”

Last year, Vision7 rebranded Dare Toronto as a full-service creative shop called Camp Jefferson.
