Citizen Relations strengthens senior ranks

Public Relations firm adds to its offices in Toronto and Vancouver

Citizen Relations has added senior executives to its offices in Toronto and Vancouver.

Sarah Crabbe joins the Toronto office as a senior vice-president and will lead several national consumer accounts. Crabbe has more than 18 years experience in strategic brand development, consumer marketing, experiential PR and crisis and issues management with a large number of global consumer brands.

Crabbe was previously senior vice-president, national practice lead for the Canadian consumer marketing team at Edelman.

Ian Baillie joins the Vancouver office as senior account director, corporate and public affairs. Baillie was previously regional director for B.C. at the Canadian Wind Energy Association, where he managed stakeholder and government relations programs.

Baillie was also executive director at the Alliance of Beverage Licensees, and executive director at Vision Vancouver, a political party in the last three municipal elections in Vancouver. While at Vision Vancouver, Baillie led daily operations and oversaw all areas of the organization.

Citizen also recently named Alain Madgin senior vice-president at its Quebec City office.

“Citizen has had years of double digit growth and 2015 and 2016 have been our best years yet,” said Nick Cowling, Citizen Relations’ president of North America. The appointments “reflect our continued effort to maintain the best talent in the industry at every level,” he said. “Adding these experts to our existing brain-trust is exactly what we needed to maintain our momentum.”
