Catherine Loubier, who was a senior advisor for Quebec and press secretary to former Prime Minister Stephen Harper until his defeat in last October’s election, has joined the Montreal office of Citoyen Optimum as vice-president, strategic counsel and public affairs.
Loubier “already stands out because of her vast public affairs experience, public policy knowledge and her exceptional strategic mind —all coveted qualities that will quickly be put to use for our clients,” said Anik Trudel, senior vice-president and general manager of Citoyen Optimum, in a statement. “Our agency is experiencing remarkable growth, and Catherine’s expertise will enrich our strategic consulting, crisis management and media relations services.”
Between 2011 and 2013, Loubier was vice-president of corporate and government affairs for the Montreal and Quebec City offices of Hill+Knowlton Strategies.
Loubier has also worked as the spokesperson for the minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities.
“My goal is to advise entrepreneurs and decision-makers so they can achieve the desired impact and outcome they seek for their public affairs and integrated communications. In doing so, I hope to contribute effectively to their company’s growth, performance and job creation.” said Loubier.
