Digital production and design company Jam3 is adding to its creative roster by plucking an industry veteran from one of the country’s top public relations agencies and adjusting its senior ranks.
Toronto-based Jam3 has hired Greg Bolton from Edelman as its new creative director. Jam3 partners and creative directors Adrian Belina and Pablo Vio have each taken on the title of executive creative director.
Bolton has more than 15 years of experience in the advertising and marketing business and will help Jam3 with the content side of new and existing projects, Belina says.
“We’re looking to Greg to help us win and lead projects … and to help with the strategic part of creative,” Belina tells Marketing.
He says Bolton will also oversee the agency’s creative process as it continues to expand its roster and services across North and Latin America.
Jam3 says it has doubled its revenues the past year and increased its staff count to 50 full-time employees, up from 23.
Prior to Edelman, where he worked for about 14 months, Bolton held creative leadership jobs at Leo Burnett, Teehan + Lax, Juniper Park, Organic and Henderson Bas and worked on brands such as Quaker, Jeep, Telus, Nike and Intuit.
His work has also been recognized across the industry by One Show, SXSW, London International Awards, the Marketing Awards and W3. Earlier this year, his work on P&G’s Mr. Clean brand was awarded two gold Cassies.
“Innovation and interactivity — particularly in storytelling — are already changing the way we think and live,” Bolton said in a release. “Jam3 had the early jump on all this because of their ability to keep up with and manipulate technology and use that to create really powerful, emotional brand experiences. The work they’ve done has always excited me, but I have no doubt that the best is still yet to come.”
Some of Jam3’s recent work includes creating the ad campaign for the MTV Video Music Awards. The company describes itself as the first-ever Canadian digital production company to land a spot in the coveted FWA Hall of Fame.
