Tim Moro has been named vice-president of Hill+Knowlton Strategies‘ Calgary office after nearly two years as managing partner of Cohn & Wolfe.
Moro (pictured above) has more than 25 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, public relations, corporate communications and market research for clients in Canada and the U.S. He was also a senior vice-president at Ipsos Reid.
H+K has also made four additions and two promotions in its Ottawa and Toronto offices.
In Ottawa, Rahmat Amy Kassam joined as a senior consultant. Most recently, she was executive assistant for Ontario MPP and Ottawa Liberal Caucus chair John Fraser, where she was responsible for managing regional issues, liaising with local stakeholders, and implementing his strategic communications and outreach plan.
Shannon Donnelly has also joined the Ottawa office as an assistant consultant. Donnelly previously worked for Bluesky Strategy Group in Ottawa, where she was responsible for implementing communications plans and social strategies, developing communications materials and organizing lobby days and other events on Parliament Hill.
Michelle Marchione, previously an account director at Hill+Knowlton in Toronto, has been promoted to senior account director. Marchione joined the firm’s health and pharmaceutical practice in 2010.
Also in Toronto, Brent Marson has been promoted from assistant consultant to consultant. He is a member of the consumer marketing team.
In addition, Jeanelle Awa has joined the Toronto office as an account director. She was previously with Environics Communications and has more than a decade of agency experience in the health-care and pharmaceutical sectors.
Jade Hunter has also joined the Toronto office as an assistant consultant with the consumer marketing team. Most recently, Hunter worked at the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, where she focused on media relations, event management, writing and reporting.
