Hill+Knowlton hires general manager for Alberta

Marie Rajic responsible for team mentorship and management

Marie Rajic has joined Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada as senior vice-president and general manager of its offices in Alberta.

Based in Calgary, she will be responsible for team mentorship and management, client service excellence and new business development.

Rajic was previously the director of sustainability and strategy at TransCanada, and led a multi-disciplined department that worked with the company’s pipeline, power, operations and major projects teams on stakeholder relations and sustainability issues.

“Marie’s impressive and diverse background in communications, stakeholder relations, energy, sustainability issues as well as team management make her the ideal candidate for this role,” said Goldy Hyder, president and CEO of H+K Canada, in a statement. “In a challenging economic environment that’s still taking new shape, it’s experienced leadership like Marie’s that will help our clients persist and achieve clear, measureable goals.”

Prior to TransCanada, Rajic worked for the federal government as the executive director of regional affairs in Alberta. She was the senior government spokesperson and oversaw the co-ordination of policies, programs and communications for Alberta and the northern territories.
