Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada has shuffled its top executives in Quebec in a move the agency says will help it continue its momentum in the province.
Isabelle Verreault, who joined H+K earlier this year, has been appointed general manager for the offices in Montreal and Quebec City.
Verreault, who co-founded the Montreal-based public engagement company Acertys, joined H+K when the agency bought her firm in January. She was named a senior vice-president at the time.
Verreault has more than 20 years of experience in project management and communication.
In addition, Josiane Hébert will assume the position of deputy general manager. Hébert previously managed the Quebec City office on an interim basis and was vice-president, public and government affairs for Quebec.
Hébert will work closely with Verreault and continue to be responsible for day-to-day operations in Quebec City and on establishing a public affairs offering in Montreal.
As well, Dimitri Gourdin, who was formerly the general manager in Montreal, becomes senior vice-president, business development for Quebec. Gourdin will focus on new business and on enhancing H+K’s profile in Quebec.
“Our primary focus in the Quebec market, like the rest of the country, is on growth. We have seen very good momentum within Quebec’s operations; our core services are in demand and being serviced by a team that deeply understands local and national needs,” said Goldy Hyder, president and CEO of H+K, in a statement.
Hyder added that Verreault, Hébert, Gourdin and Nathalie Bourque, who was named H+K’s first-ever Quebec chair in February, will be working with Acertys co-founder Jacques Bénard, who is leading efforts to generate new business nationally in the infrastructure sector.
