New media company Kaboose Inc. has hired Alexandra Aleskovsky as general manager and senior vice-president, online media properties.

In the newly created position, Aleskovsky will oversee the operations and strategy of the company’s North American portfolio, which targets mothers.

“I look forward to leveraging my experience and expertise to support the growth of Kaboose’s online media business throughout the world,” she said in a statement.

Previously, Aleskovsky was chief marketing officer of the online community ClubMom, and general manager and senior vice-president of iVillage. Most recently, she served as general manager and senior vice-president of WeightWatchers.com.

“As a seasoned online veteran with unparalleled experience in mom-focused media, Alexandra brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record in consumer marketing, strategy and business development to the Kaboose team,” said president and chief operating officer Craig Wallace in a release.
