Latest Citoyen Optimum hire part of continuing growth plan

Firm's Quebec City office hires Alain Madgin as senior vice-president

Alain Madgin has been named senior vice-president of Citoyen Optimum’s Quebec City office, in what the public relations agency says is part of a growth plan it initiated last year.

“In addition to being a public and government relations veteran with a solid, long-standing reputation, Alain also boasts indepth knowledge of the Quebec business community and rare expertise in the areas of health and pharmaceutical sectors,” said Anik Trudel, senior-vice president and general manager of Citoyen Optimum, in a statement. “This will allow us to complete our portfolio of services across Canada and raise our profile in the Quebec City area.”

Madgin has about 25 years of experience in public affairs and lobbying and has worked in a variety of sectors throughout his career.

Madgin began his PR career at Orkestra, Public Affairs as president and CEO, before moving to National Public Relations as a senior consultant and vice-president. He has also been president and CEO of the Quebec Brewers Association.

He has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1991, after graduating in law from Université Laval.
