Four internal promotions at PR agency's Toronto office

Media Profile has promoted four employees, including two who have been made vice-presidents.

Jennifer Alsop-Lee (pictured above at left) and Stephanie Bell (right) have become vice-presidents, while Georgia Boutsalis has been promoted to consultant and Mariana Bilbao to account coordinator.

Alsop-Lee and Bell both began their careers at Media Profile as account coordinators, 12 and 15 years ago respectively.

Bell is a healthcare and corporate communications specialist who leads a number of long-term Media Profile clients including AbbVie, Cancer Care Ontario and Ipsen Pharmaceuticals.

Alsop-Lee advises top brands including PlayStation Canada, Post Foods, Vicinity and clients in the Government of Ontario.

The two are already shareholders in the employee-owned firm and will become part of the company’s senior management team. Both will assume additional responsibilities including business development, mentoring of staff and greater operational oversight.

“Stephanie and Jennifer bring energy and deep experience to our management team,” said Media Profile president Alison King (pictured above at centre), in a statement. “As we grow, it is critical that we have the right senior leadership in place to ensure we continue to excel at client service, staff development and provide all the services our clients require.”

Boutsalis was previously an account coordinator at Media Profile. Bilbao, who was a journalist in Portugal and speaks five languages, was part of the firm’s account administration and support team.

King said Media Profile is proud of its track record of promoting from within. “The fact that our employees can see a long and rewarding career path is a key reason that we have the lowest staff turnover in the industry.”
