Tribal DDB has promoted MARTY YASKOWICH to managing director of its Vancouver office, filling the role left vacant by AMBER BEZAHLER, who was recently named head of the digital design program at the Vancouver Film School.

MARK FRANCOLINI, formerly senior art director at Toronto agency Zulu Alpha Kilo and a finalist in Marketing‘s inaugural Creative Faceoff competition, has been promoted to associate creative director. Francolini has been with the agency since its launch two years ago, and played a role on efforts for Bell and Puma.

DEBRA CUMMINGS is the new editor of Up! magazine, effective Aug. 16. Cummings most recently worked as a freelance editor, writer and consultant, and is currently the president of TMAC’s Calgary chapter. She has held editor positions at the Calgary Herald, Sears Travel and Travel Alberta.

Nurun has appointed JIM YANG to the position of chief strategy officer. Yang has been with the agency for more than a decade, and is based out of its Toronto office. He has worked on the Home Depot and Holt Renfrew accounts, and most recently Sears Canada.

Taxi has promoted three of its own. STEFAN WEGNER and NATHAN MONLEITH are now co-creative directors and will oversee the Canadian Tire brand, while JASON MCCANN becomes co-executive creative director.

Transat Tours Canada has appointed ANNICK GUERARD to vice-president, marketing and web commercialization, effective Aug. 16. She will be responsible for the Air Transat, Nolitours and Transat Holidays brands. She most recently served as vice-president and general manager of Transat’s Jonview business unit.
