GABRIEL BOUCHARD will assume the role of president of Workopolis on April 14. Bouchard, who founded rival employment website Monster.ca and served as its vice-president and general manager for 13 years, joined Workopolis in 2008 as VP, strategic planning. He replaces PATRICK SULLIVAN, who stepped down last month. JOE WILKE, VP, finance and operations, will serve as president until Bouchard takes the reins.
Toronto agency Zig has promoted SUBTEJ NIJJAR to director of digital planning. Nijjar, who joined Zig more than three years ago, was previously strategic planner, digital.
Youth marketing agency Y Syndicate has added three new members to its senior management group. JODI LUMSDEN, formerly account director at JWT, is now group director, youth marketing, at Youthography, Y Syndicate’s founding brand. EDLYNNE LARYEA joins as director, lifestyle and experiential marketing for the company’s District Lifestyle Marketing and Riot Brand Experiences divisions. She was most recently national marketing manager, imported brands for Labatt. NICK BURTON has been named creative director, a position that covers all of Y Syndicate’s divisions. Burton is formerly associate creative director at Extreme Group in Toronto.
BBDO Toronto has promoted MARTINA IVSAK to VP, group account director. Ivsak joined the agency in 2005 and was most recently VP, account director. Proximity Canada, BBDO’s interactive arm, has named STEPHANIE WALL VP, account director. Wall was previously an account director at Proximity.
