ISRAEL DIAZ joined Y&R Canada as its chief creative officer, filling a position that has been empty for several years. He joins Y&R from David & Goliath, where he spent the past year as its executive creative director.
Fleishman-Hillard Canada appointed communication and branding veteran JOHN BOZZO as senior vice-president and partner. He will serve as national healthcare and social services lead.
RON TITE has left his role as vice-president, creative director at Sharpe Blackmore Euro RSCG in Toronto. Tite seeks to increase his public speaking and consulting engagements. Associate creative director Michael Willson, replaces Tite on an interim basis.
Cineplex Media hired JEFF BARLOW and CHRIS CORVETTI as executive director of creative media solutions and senior account manager, respectively.
The Gabor Group promoted KEN CLARKE to chief operating officer and vice-president of client services and ELIANA SUTTON BALABAN to account executive. SCOTT MCMANN joined the agency as creative director. It also hired LARA HANA BRADY as an account coordinator to work on the IBC and Berman Barristers accounts.
Environics hired MELODY GAUKEL as vice-president of its corporate and finance practice. She will provide strategic planning, crisis and issues management on a number of accounts such as MasterCard Canada and Genworth Financial.
Gorilla Nation added six new members to its sales team. SABRINA ANTENUCCI joins the Montreal office as senior planner, while ELLIOT GLYNN (senior media planner), CHRIS GRIFFITH (senior account executive), SAHSA LAURIN (associate account exeuctive), SAMAR AMOURI (senior sales planner) and ALEKSANDRA CZECH (junior sales planner) join the Toronto office.
CLAUDE GALIPEAU left his role as senior vice-president and general manager, digital media at Rogers Media. Galipeau and his team have been involved in major initiatives in the last 12 months, including the acquisition of BV Media and the formation of a partnership with Vuguru. His replacement will be announced shortly.
