Industry veteran RORY AMELIO is now partner and vice-president of national sales at Adapt Media, a Toronto-based out-of-home advertising company. Amelio was most recently vice-president of business development at Newad. In his new role, he will be responsible for growing the agency nationally and developing new advertising properties.

Rogers Media hired JASON TAFLER as chief digital officer, effective mid March. Formerly CEO of American digital marketing firm PointRoll, Tafler, will report to president Keith Pelley. Tafler has spent time with 50Plus (now Zoomer magazine), First Marathon Securities (now National Bank Financial) and boutique investment bank The Jordan, Edmiston Group.

Fleishman-Hillard Canada hired COREY GOLDMAN as vice-president of its Toronto office. Prior to joining Fleishman-Hillard, Goldman served as chief operating officer for the Alternative Investment Management Association. He also worked for Bloomberg News, CNN Financial News and ABC News and has contributed to the Toronto Star, Canadian Business, and Investment Executive, as well as numerous hedge fund magazines.

Hill & Knowlton British Columbia added three new members to its team. SHIVAUNA BROWN joins as vice-president, marketing and business development for western Canada and will work with the firm’s Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary offices. SHAUN POOLE joins as an account director in the communications group. CHERYL MUIR joins as senior consultant in the firm’s integrated public affairs and communications practice.

Interbrand appointed ALFRED DUPUY as managing director of its Canadian business, replacing Bev Tudhope who stepped out of the role to become chairman of Interbrand Canada last September. DuPuy first joined Interbrand in 2005 at its Ohio office.

More magazine appointed BETH THOMPSON its beauty editor, effective March 1. Thompson was previously editor-in-chief of Glow, and is the author of Kidfluence: Why Today’s Kids Mean Business.
