On The Move: Additions at 88 Creative, Free For All

A weekly update of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

CALVIN DANIELS (pictured above) was announced as senior vice-president and managing director at Commonwealth/McCann’s Toronto office, overseeing the agency’s Chevrolet account across all regional offices and joining the executive leadership team. He brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the table, including nearly two decades of specialization in the automotive sector working on Nissan and Chrysler. He comes from Juniper Park/TBWA, where he was head of client services, and prior to that spent nearly 16 years at BBDO Canada. Daniels returns to the agency after starting his career at McCann in the 90s.

gillingham-88creative-167088 Creative brought on JAMIE GILLINGHAM (right) as a PR account executive to work on the agency’s startup and tech clients. He previously worked at Harbinger and Canadian Tire, and completed his masters in creative writing from Cardiff University. AMANDA SPEERS was hired as a PR account coordinator working on consumer and lifestyle clients after graduating from Humber College’s PR program. OCAD grad FATIMA ALMUHTARAM joined the team as a junior designer to work on branding and design projects, and ANDREA PACE joined as a digital account coordinator to work with clients on digital projects.

CRISTINA GRIMM (below, centre) was named as Free For All Marketing’s regional vice-president of its new Vancouver office. Most recently at Telus, she will expand the agency’s national client roster and provide client services; she has worked with brands like Best Buy and Nintendo over the past seven years. JODI SPITZER (below, right) was promoted to SVP, having been with Free For All Marketing since 2012. She has led major accounts like Toronto Hydro and Metrolinx, specializing in consumer education programming and has had a long career in leading and managing complex events. BIBIANNA POON (below, left) was also promoted to director of conferences and events to lead and further expand the agency’s growing conference division.

freeforallmarketingnov4Manifesto Sports Management added 16-year sport industry veteran DAN KUZMAROV as partner and VP. Based in Toronto, he will bring his extensive network and experience in athlete management to provide a seasoned, solutions-based approach for Manifesto’s athletes and brand clients. Kuzmarov has been a leading Canadian athlete representative, creating endorsement opportunities and managing marketing initiatives for Canadian athletes like Jarome Iginla, Curtis Joseph, PK Subban and Hayley Wickenheiser. At Manifesto, he will continue to advocate for athletes and will develop creative and strategic partnerships for brands, sponsors and clients.

Sparks Productions brought on ANIELIKA SYKES as a sales representative on the firm’s television commercials and commercial photography teams. The team is wrapping up a strong year of producing visible television and print advertising campaigns and the successful launch of Sparks Productions’ new website. She will work alongside Sparks Productions president Andy Crosbie and executive producer and head of sales Pamela Hamilton.
