On the Move: Additions at McCann, Momentum and BoomBox

A weekly update of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

McCann added MEGHAN SHERWIN as VP of strategic planning at its Toronto office. Sherwin was most recently at Cheil and prior to that held senior roles at BBDO and Proximity, Digital Cement and Leo Burnett. Meanwhile, Momentum Worldwide hired group account director ANGELA GILL and account directors JIM CHESTNUTT and JEFF PERRIN. Gill most recently launched the “Rogers Home Town Hockey” program while at SDImktg and prior to that was director of sponsorships at Canadian Tire.

JONATHAN FARIA was named senior director of brand implementation at Shikatani Lacroix. During his career, Faria has led corporate rebranding initiatives for clients such as Eversource Energy, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Tervita, Novant Health and MedStar Health.

Tendril and its sister company, Relish Editing, brought on ALISON GORDON as managing editor. She joins the Toronto-based  company after spending five years in Paris as an editor at Melting Pot Agency. Gordon’s spot “37 Days” for Leo Burnett France won awards at Cannes, the Clios, D&AD, One Show, Epica, and the London International Awards. It was also selected as one of Mashable’s “Top 10 Most Creative Spots of 2015.”

BoomBox added music director, producer and composer MR/TOMMY ZEE, as well as producer and voice director STEPHANIE PIGOTT. Zee has worked on global brands such as Nike, Audi, Google, BMW, Heineken, as well as the Team Canada spot,“Ice In Our Veins.” Meanwhile, Pigott joined BoomBox from Pirate. Her work has been recognized at the Cannes Lions, the Clios, the London International Awards, the D&ADs and SXSW.
