On The Move: Changes at Agency Media, Eyereturn

A weekly update of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

AdamBreseAgency Media appointed ADAM BESSE (pictured) as its new president. The firm is a B.C.-based digital marketing company that formed in 2013 under the Westlund Group umbrella. Besse, who had been Agency Media’s creative director since 2014, led the team on a number of projects and saw expansion from four to 14 employees.

Eyereturn Marketing promoted BRANDON GHAELI to director of sales and partnerships. Previously, he was focused on creating integrated platform solutions across the agency’s technology suite, and will now be responsible for managing client relationships and driving growth.

GMR Marketing announced LORNE COOPERBERG, the engagement marketing agency’s current group account director, has been promoted to vice-president of strategy and business development. Cooperberg joined GMR in 2012 and has overseen a diverse portfolio of clients including RBC, Visa, Ferrari, and Hershey’s.

Craft Public Relations hired MELISSA RETTY as a director. She previously worked with Lisa Pasquin, the principal of Craft, at Veritas, and was most recently part of the communications team at the Education Quality and Accountability Office with the government of Ontario. The addition comes soon after the PR firm was named as GE Appliances’ agency of record.

Brees Communication named SANA ALI as vice-president of client services. She has been with the agency for eight years, first starting as a receptionist. Today, Ali is in charge of servicing and staffing the agency’s client accounts. In her new role, she will lead the account management and media teams, develop client relationships, provide executive counsel, take on a broader HR role and drive the growth of the agency’s portfolio.
