On The Move: Changes at Bell Media, Edelman and GMR

A weekly recap of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

1d15875Bell Media named DANY MELOUL as vice-president of French language TV programming. He will be responsible for scheduling, planning, original content and acquisitions for Bell Media’s French-language non-sports specialty channels. She previously worked as Bell Media’s assistant general counsel and before that at Astral for many years. Meloul will bring her media expertise, and her knowledge of programming, finance, and regulation in the French-language media industry.

Edelman Vancouver appointed BRIDGITTE ANDERSON as general manager. Previously the firm’s senior vice-president of corporate and public affairs, Anderson has been with Edelman for four years and has more than 25 years of experience in client service, public affairs and media. She was formerly a journalist with CTV and was the press secretary to Premier Gordon Campbell.

GMR hired CHRISTY THEOBALD as a talent manager for field staffing across Canada. She brings more than five years of experience, having worked previously at Boom and Staff Nation. Theobald joined the experiential marketing agency as it expands its talent acquisition team.

ZoomerMedia promoted BEVERLEY SHENKEN to vice-president of content and general manager of the television division. With 30 years of experience in television, Shenken will be responsible for TV content strategy, daily scheduling and acquisition of U.S. and international series and movies.

Kaiser Lachance Communications named CHRISTINE TOURIGNY as senior coordinator. In her new role, Tourigny is focused on providing strategic planning, media relations and marketing communications support and will implement PR campaigns in Quebec. Tourigny has experience crisis management, media relations and event management, and previously worked as a lead coordinator at a Montreal PR agency.

Maverick added MELANIE FILIPP as an account manager. She was previously marketing and PR manager at Cundari, responsible for the agency’s self-promotional efforts, and before that was earned media strategist at Harbinger.
