On The Move: Changes at CBC, Konrad Group and Cineplex

A weekly recap of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

CBC appointed CHRIS HARRIS the new executive producer of digital, scripted content. He previously worked with CBC from 1999 to 2006 and returned from his most recent position as vice-president of strategy and business development with Secret Location. He brings more than 15 years of experience as a digital production executive, business leader, media strategist, interactive producer and journalist to his new role at CBC.

Konrad Group named KYLE BRYCE an account manager. He will oversee clients in both Toronto and New York and contribute to new business and business development. Bryce brings a blend of digital and strategy experience, having worked most recently at T1 within the consulting group and account management team developing strategy, experiential programs and event execution for clients like Coca-Cola, UFC and TJX.

Tourism Victoria added DAVID RIOUX, an experienced tourism researcher and big data analytics professional, to its team. In his new role, Rioux will be responsible for applying geodemographic segmentation to key market areas, creating a reliable platform for economic impact studies of festivals and events, and increasing precision of marketing spend to drive greater conversion and lead to higher ROI. Rioux spent the last eight years working at the Government of New Brunswick as manager of policy and planning.

Citizen Relations brought on CHRISTINA ARSENEAU as account manager. She will be working with beauty clients John Frieda, Jergens and Biore, as well as Emirates Airlines and Alcatel. At her most recent role as an account manager at Rock-it Promotions, Arseneau managed a team that worked with clients including Tommy Hilfiger, Tiger of Sweden and Mackage.

Wave Digital Media, an independent trading desk for real-time media buys, hired CARLIE CLOUGH as director of business development. She will be leading agency partnerships, new business development, and contributing to company growth. Clough previously worked in accounts at Cundari and in a consultative capacity at Flixel Photos.

Cineplex hired SARAH VAN LANGE as director of communications. She was previously a manager of retail communications at Canadian Tire, and prior to that was a senior manager of communications at Sportchek.
