On The Move: Changes at Media Profile, Republic and Kijiji

A weekly recap of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

Nov 2015 promotionsMedia Profile (staff pictured right) added two members to the team and promoted eight. MARIA CORTELLUCCI and CAITIE WALLMAN were promoted to account director. ERIKA CASUPANAN, PASCALE GORDON, KAROLINA OLECHNOWICZ and SARAH PATTILLO were promoted to senior consultants, and JULIA RANALLI and ROB AYRE are now consultants. TAMAR DOBNER and JENNA BRUNO have joined the firm as account coordinators.

Republic announced industry veteran TERRY JOHNSON has been named agency chairman. Johnson is the founder and CEO of Allard Johnson (now KBS+) and co-founder and chair of Veritas Communications. “I’m really excited to be back in the agency world helping to build a company that is on the cusp of the changes happening in the industry today,” he said in a release.

Thornley Fallis Communications named SPENCER CALLAGHAN to account director. He previously worked for Freebalance as a marketing communications manager for the worldwide product team, and has worked within industries such as telecom, real estate, agriculture, government, consumer goods and software development.

Kijiji hired JENNIFER FIELDS as head of agency sales. She most recently managed a sales team at Olive Media. In her new role, Fields will work to define and implement a national sales strategy across Kijiji, eBay and StubHub.

Reprise Media promoted RYAN TYLER THOMAS from director SEO to director of integrated SEO. The position change, says Tyler Thomas, “is about trying to fully realize search media as a fully integrated part of integrated communications planning and across numerous media silos.” He has been with the agency since March 2015.
