On The Move: Changes at FCB, eBay, Defy and Hill + Knowlton

A weekly recap of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

Defy Media added NATHAN GEORGE as VP of sales, serving the Canadian and U.K. markets. He has more than a decade of experience in media strategy and sales, and comes from BBC Worldwide as its director of digital sales. TOM FALINSKI was hired as a senior national account executive. He was most recently an account executive at BBC Worldwide, and also held roles at Suite 66 and Quadrant Media.

FCB Toronto hired NANCY CRIMI-LAMANNA as its new VP and creative director. She was most recently a VP and associate creative director at BBDO Toronto working on accounts like RBC, Starbucks and FedEx. She will help run the day-to-day creative department.

eBay brought on CAMILLE KOWALEWSKI as its new head of communications. She was previously a senior consultant at Environics Communications.

Empire Communities announced SUE MACKAY as its new VP of marketing. She has more than 14 years of real estate sales and marketing experience. Most recently, she was the VP, client services of strategic design at advertising agency 52-Pick Up, and is currently on the board of directors of the Urban Land Institute as the co-chair of communications.

Hill + Knowlton Strategies promoted LAURA GREER to vice-president of health care public affairs in Toronto. She has contributed to integrating health care communications with public affairs advocacy, and will work to further develop the practice. MARY PAT MACKINNON was appointed group leader of the Ottawa-based engagement and research group in addition to her current role as vice-president. ARIANE LAROCQUE and TJ CLARK were appointed as senior consultants. BOBBY KELLY was named a consultant. ANGELA CEROVIC was promoted to senior account director. MATTHEW HENLEY was named an account director, JESSICA TURNER was appointed a senior consultant. KRISTY DILBEY was promoted to senior consultant.
