On The Move: Changes at Juice Mobile, Shikatani Lacroix, Bob

A weekly update of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

Juice Mobile appointed SANDRA MACKECHNIE as VP of sales for its Canadian offices. She will oversee the company’s Canadian sales team and further the Nectar platform to new clients. Mackechnie has 18 years of sales experience in media and digital, most recently as the Canadian VP of digital ad sales for BBC Worldwide. Prior to that, she held various roles at Postmedia Network including VP of digital advertising and strategy.

Shikatani Lacroix hired creative director GARY OAKLEY. Most recently creative director at Hunter Straker, Oakley brings 29 years of experience in brand strategy and design, having worked with CPG and retail brands including Loblaw, Home Depot, Mattel, Nestle, Molson, Rogers and Bell. Also joining Shikatani Lacroix are DOUG GAMMAGE as director of strategy and insights and JARED BRESKI as brand strategist. Gammage has two decades of experience in market intelligence and strategy and has worked on brands such as Parmalat Canada, Kruger, Walmart, CVS and Duane Reade. Breski is a former adjunct professor of business at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology, and will join Gammage in providing strategic insights to Shikatani Lacroix’s CPG, service and retail clients.

Vancouver digital agency Powershifter added CLINT SINGH as director of business development out of its new Toronto office. He will be responsible for providing clients such as Deloitte, Telus and Town Shoes with digital offerings as well as helping build the team in Toronto. Singh has over seven years of sales expertise generating new business in sectors including film and television, technology, retail, finance, government and not-for profit. He has worked with clients such as Canadian Tire, Toronto International Film Festival and Universal Pictures.

After six years with Bob, the Montreal-based agency promoted LAURA FORTIN from project manager to account manager. Her goal will be to continue to raise the client experience. Bob’s clients include Desjardins Group, Jean Coutu Group, Rona and Unilever Canada.

STEVEN BRANCO joined BuzzPR as director of communications and digital innovation. Previously at Canadian Mother Resource and Heritage Education Funds working in creative strategy, he will help the Toronto PR agency in its efforts to create digital campaigns for clients.
