Smak promoted NIKKI HEDSTROM to the role of president. She replaces Smak founder Claire Lamont, who will sit as the chief on the creative agency’s new board of directors. Hedstrom, who’s been with Smak for seven years, was most recently the national account director. She will continue to work with her creative director and national accounts team, and will also lead business development.
TwentyTen Group appointed PHILLIP STOBER as its new managing director. Stober, who spent more than 30 years in sponsorship and marketing, will lead the sponsorship sales agency’s operations nationally. Before taking on this role, Stober was the managing director and SVP of consulting at MarComm Partners, LLC in New York where he was responsible for new business development, strategic direction and corporate methodologies.
Giants and Gentlemen brought on RHIANNA PADAMSEY as an account manager. She was previously at Bruce Mau Design.
Following the retirement of BOB REAUME, JUDY DAVEY is joining the Association of Canadian Advertisers to assume his former duties as vice-president of policy and research. Long active with the ACA, Davey arrives from Zenith Optimedia where she was executive vice-president of activation.
LG2 has hired MEGAN SIEGEL as social content strategist and manager at its still new Toronto operation. She’ll oversee the social and content teams across the agency’s three offices in Toronto, Quebec City and Montreal. Siegel had previously worked at BBDO/Proximity as a social content strategist.
