On The Move: Changes at Taxi 2, Insights West, Olson

A weekly recap of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

Taxi 2 added HANEEN DAVIES, who was previously at Edelman, as group account director. DANIEL SHERRINGTON also joined the accounts team as an accounts manager. The agency also brought on four creatives: copywriter MIRYAM WEINSTEIN and art director ALYSSA GRAFF from DDB, as well as copywriter DANA CIANI and art director NICOLE GRIMSHAW. The six hires reflect new business activity, an expanded Campbell’s portfolio and the addition of USGE (Union of Solicitor General Employees) to the client roster.

Insights West appointed RON CANN as SVP of products and qualitative solutions. He will be responsible for the growth and development of the market research firm’s research products, and will also assume the leadership role of Insight West’s qualitative focus group offering. With experience advising business leaders and small and large corporations for more than 20 years, Cann was most recently the VP of marketing and communications at Qtrade Financial Group.

Olson Canada hired ANDREW CHARLES EDWARDS as an account director and also added account manager ALI GUNOVEN and account coordinator JAMIE-LEE JOFFE. Joining the agency’s strategy and delivery teams are analyst SANDRA SOUSA, email specialist COLIN RICKATSON, operations specialist SONIKA MITTAL, designer TYLER GENOVESE, developer LUZ DE ABREU and quality assurance analyst LAURA HURTADO.

A&C named LISA HUIE as account director, responsible for leadership of the PR agency’s account services team. Huie was most recently with Indigo Books and Music, where she was a contributor to public relations strategies for over five years. ADAM DERMER also joined A&C as an account coordinator.
