On The Move: Changes at Twitter, High Road, SDImktg

A weekly update of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

ANDREA MacDONALD was announced as Twitter Canada‘s new lead on its sales team. She is formerly the general manager of Vista Radio and director of digital sales at Rogers. She has also worked for CBC and CanWest and has worked on brands including McDonald’s, P&G, Scotiabank and Manulife.

High Road added three to its Toronto office. RENEE WEEKES — who previously ran the digital and social division at Mosaic leading consumer accounts including Wrigley, Maple Leaf Brands and Constellation Wine Brands — has joined the agency as an account director. CASEY ANGLAND was brought on as an account supervisor; she most recently worked in Berlin, Germany with a tech startup and helped develop its internal branding, social and media relations programs. ELAINE HANSEN joined as the agency’s new senior consultant; she was previously with Corus Entertainment as activation manager, client marketing where she specialized in planning and executing multi-platform brand integration. In addition, High Road promoted 14 employees across Canada and in its Los Angeles office following a period of agency growth.

VIVIAN GAGLIANO joined Public as a digital strategist. She draws upon more than thirteen years of marketing and communications experience across a wide range of sectors including tech, telecom, healthcare, CPG, financial services and luxury. She has consulted with global clients including Anheuser-Busch InBev, L’Oréal, and Reckitt Benckiser, and has led digital programs and web builds for Dell Canada, Gucci, Nutella, Nestlé and Theodore Alexander.

Match Marketing Group brought on GLENN YOUNG as director of business development focused on driving new business for the agency’s experiential practice in Toronto. He brings over 15 years of experience in the sports, entertainment and lifestyle industries, and previously spent four years as president and CEO of Liquid Nutrition Group.

SDImktg hired BRAD NEUMANN as an account manager in its consumer and loyalty division. He was most recently an account manager at Kognitive Marketing. ERICA RAMOS joined the agency as a client services manager in the experiential division. Her previous role was with GMR Marketing as client services supervisor. ERICA MCCARTNEY joined as event manager in the experiential division. She comes to SDImktg after two years as an account supervisor with Rogers Hometown Hockey tour. Lastly, LEAH WALKER, previously an account director with Boom Marketing, was added as a client services director in the consumer and loyalty division. These hires come after several new business wins for SDImktg including Jeep, Capital One and Jack Links.

JORDAN FINLAYSON was named Target Marketing’s newest copywriter. Previous to joining the St. John’s agency, he was with Evans Hunt in Calgary for over a year, as well as at Trigger for a year. He has worked with various brands throughout his career including the Calgary Zoo, Mobil 1, Brewsters Travel, University of Calgary, BrokerLink Insurance, Shaw and more.

STEVE HARRIS, former leader of digital strategy, technology and innovation at World Vision Canada, joined DAC Group’s digital media team as director of SEO in the Toronto office. Before working at World Vision, Harris worked at Entrinsic, where he led its insights and research practice.
