On The Move: Hires at Jam3, V Media Group and Captivate

A weekly update of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

Jam3 named DIRK VAN GINKEL (pictured above) as a new creative director at its Toronto office. He brings years of agency experience, having worked at Delete, Poke New York (now Makeable), and most recently at Unit9 London where his title was creative technologist and director. He has completed projects for clients such as SyFy Channel U.S., Google, 20th Century Fox, Wrigley’s and Pixar.

MDC shop Bruce Mau Design brought on MANUEL GONZALEZ as a creative director. A global creative director with more than two decades of experience in creative and art direction for advertising and design agencies, he was most recently the founder and lead director at Madrid-based studio MCo.

V Media Group appointed JACQUES MATHIEU as director general of content and development. In this role, he will be responsible for the programming and development of all content and program schedules for the V Media platforms including television networks V, MusiquePlus and MusiMax. Mathieu brings over 20 years of experience in programming, production and strategic management of brands.

Captivate added STEVE CHODAT as business development manager of real estate, a new position created by the location-based video network. Prior to joining Captivate, Chodat was the director of Canadian business development at Mars. He is also a former member of the CoreNet marketing committee.
