On The Move: Hires at Taxi, The Globe and Mail, GMR

A weekly update of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

CHRISTINE MAW was appointed as Taxi’s new VP, head of strategic planning at its Toronto office. She has been with Taxi for three years in the role of strategy director, and will now co-lead the planning team and brand planners with Sean McDonald—the VP and head of communications planning—to continue servicing clients and working with planning leads in each Taxi office. Prior to joining the agency, Maw was the director of strategic planning for TBWA\Chiat\Day in Toronto.

The Globe and Mail named TRACY DAY as director of advertising products. She was most recently VP of content and engagement at Star Metro Media in Toronto. Meanwhile, DAVID TREPANIER joined the Montreal sales team as national account manager. He brings a variety of experience spanning from media planner to digital media specialist.

SHAUNA PAOLUCCI joined GMR Marketing’s Toronto office as director of client services. Her experience in client service includes stints at agencies such as Publicis, Cundari and Saatchi & Saatchi. At GMR, Paolucci is providing account leadership and strategic direction for a number of key accounts. The agency also promoted MARK KHATTER to account supervisor.

7 Communications hired RANJAN GILL as an account director and RACHEL ALEXANDER as an account coordinator. TANYA COLELLA also joined 7 Communications as an account coordinator and will report to MIKE GODDARD, the newly appointed account supervisor in the digital and social media practice.

GCI Group hired KELLY BAITA as account supervisor and promoted RACHEL KELLOGG to consultant.
