On The Move: New hires at FCB, Fuse and Maverick

A weekly update of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

FCB Toronto hired writer JEREMIAH McNAMA and art director ANDREW MACPHEE as associate creative directors to focus on the BMO account. Before joining FCB, McNama was a copywriter at 72andSunny in Los Angeles, while MacPhee was most recently at Sid Lee. LINDSAY EADY was brought on as a copywriter. She has five years of experience, most recently at Grey Canada, and will also work on BMO.

Fuse Marketing Group hired LAURIE DILLON-SCHALK and ADAM BLEAU to head its digital content division. Both Dillon-Schalk and Bleau were most recently with digital content agency Evidently. Dillon-Schalk has more than 15 years of experience in leading teams responsible for multi-channel digital strategy, social brand management and content strategy. Bleau also has 15 years of expertise and, most recently as head of Evidently North America, was responsible for leading content, digital growth and brand building.

The Globe and Mail appointed GREG DOUFAS to the new role of chief digital officer. He will be responsible for customer data and analytics and digital solutions. Prior to joining the company in 2012, Doufas was the global director of advanced analytics at Blackberry.

Maverick added DAN SNOW as managing director of content and strategy, a newly created role to lead the expanding scope of digital and social within the agency. Snow founded Snow Digital & Social in 2013, working with small-to-medium sized businesses to develop brand and digital strategies. MELANIE FILIPP also joined Maverick as an account manager from Cundari where she supported agency PR while simultaneously developing strategic public relations plans for both client and industry campaigns, product launches and events.
