LISA DE WILDE became the latest media executive to join the board of directors at Telus. De Wilde has been CEO of TVO since 2005, and has led the Ontario TV network’s transition into digital platforms. She is currently chair of the TIFF board of directors, and has been a member of the Canadian Digital Media Network Advisory Board in the past.
Hill+Knowlton made two additions to its Toronto office. JASON MCPHAIL joined as account director and LAURA TULLEY as senior consultant. McPhail comes from a role as senior brand manager at Virgin Mobile Canada, where he managed the brand’s identity and launched a new rewards program. Tulley previously worked for H+K and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Ariad hired MARC CATTAPAN as its new head of user experience. Cattapan comes from a similar UX design and tech role at John St., and before that was an art director at The Brand Factory. Also joining the team is senior project manager CAITLIN HINES, who previously spent four years with Ottawa firm Marketing Breakthroughs. PUSHPA ISAAC was added to Ariad’s creative bench as art director, having done design and creative direction for Rogers Communications, EF Tours and CTV.
Luxury clothing brand Kit and Ace brought on TAYLOR MCKINNON as social media content manager in Vancouver. Before joining the team, McKinnon managed social media for Four Seasons Hotels for two and a half years.
JACQUES MAJOR was appointed director of marketing and communications for the Out-of-Home Marketing Association of Canada (OMAC). Major comes to the group with 25 years experience in sales and marketing and 10 years managing his own firm, SCM Marketing Group. His previous employment includes VP business development at OK&D and account manager at Mediacom. At OMAC, Major will be responsible for building the association’s presence and implementing initiatives to grow the OOH industry.
