On the Move: New hires at Maxus, MSLGroup, Felicity, Videology

New hires at MSL

MSLGroup hired ANNE LOCKE as VP in charge of its style and beauty accounts. Locke has previously held senior roles at Environics, Paradigm, Veritas and Strategic Objectives. MSL also added five new account leaders in Toronto: MARICEL DICION as senior account supervisor, consumer team; ROBYN HUNT and NARE TUTUNDJIAN as senior account executives; ANNE CAYER as bilingual senior account executive and MEAGHAN MURRAY as account associate. Dicion was most recently senior consultant at National, Hunt was a consultant at Apex and Cayer was a bilingual consultant at Strategic Objectives. Tutundjian previously worked in client relations with High Fashion Handbags.

Videology strengthened its Canadian team with two senior hires and a promotion. PETER BATES joined as senior commercial media account executive, responsible for managing and developing publisher relationships in Canada. Bates has held business and partner development roles at YuMe and Adconion (now Amobee). Also joining is GREG HOPPER as technical sales specialist to supervise training and implementation of Videology’s technology with its largest media buying clients. Hopper comes from a senior media planning role at Mediacom. SAM GOTTFRIED was promoted from sales strategy manager to account executive to focus on business development and training with agency trading desks and digital media.

Maxus Canada has a new managing director. SCOTT STEWART joined the team from UM Canada, where he was VP client business partner for the last two years. His work on the Budweiser Red Light campaign was recently recognized at the Festival of Media Global 2014 Awards, as well as at Cannes and the Marketing Awards. As managing director at Maxus, Stewart will lead all aspects of the BMO client account, and report to Maxus Canada president Ann Stewart (no relation).

Felicity brought on eight new communications professionals, including AMY GILLESPIE as vice-president. Throughout her career, Gillespie has worked at Edelman, Environics and Strategic Objectives on traditional and digital PR for brands like Kraft, Johnson & Johnson, Panasonic and The Home Depot. JACQUI D’EON and CAROL PANASIUK joined as strategist/issue management professionals; d’Eon was most recently chief communications officer at Deloitte, while Panasiuk has a long history in PR including nineteen years as EVP at Cohn & Wolfe. ERIN DYM was appointed editorial/content strategist, coming from a background in media and teaching PR at Seneca College. ALANA LIPTON, formerly at Edelman, came on as account lead, while FIONA BASSETT CRAM, formerly at Roche Canada, was added to the healthcare communications and stakeholder relations team. Lastly, JENNA GREENBERG was hired as account coordinator.

AMANDA ASHFORD was promoted to director of brand and communications at YellowHouse Agency after a year with the brand and communications team. Prior to joining the agency, Ashford held communications positions at Virgin Mobile and Porter Airlines, where she worked on PR, events and CSR.
