On The Move: New hires at National, Narrative, Cue

A weekly update of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

SHERRY BOISVERT joined Narrative PR as vice-president. She brings almost two decades of experience at corporate and consumer PR agencies, most recently at Citizen Relations as VP of corporate. She oversaw many of the agency’s largest clients and has also worked at National, Apex and Ketchum. In her new role she will focus on growing the business and attracting new talent to the team.

National Public Relations added SHANNON EMILY DAVIDSON as VP and practice lead and CANDI JERONIMO as director at the firm’s Toronto office. Davidson has more than 20 years of experience at Toronto agencies including Publicis and MacLaren Momentum. She returns to National after spending a year as CMO at Skate Canada. Jeronimo has 14 years of experience in PR and media, most recently at Edelman, and has worked with brands including Telus, Canon Canada, Symantec and Kraft Heinz.

Cue Digital Media hired JAKE LABOW as VP of content. Labow has a decade of experience at North American media companies including Bell Media. SUSAN COURTNEY, who has 20 years of media sales experience, was named as director of national sales for the company’s news and business verticals. ALISON DEMELIS is the new director of sales for the women’s group, and will manage Cue’s female skewing inventory including Us Weekly, MailOnline, Bustle and Thought Catalog. She comes from Bell Media where she was a group manager.

Blyth Academy hired GRANT CHANNER as VP of marketing, TALIA HEINZ-THURSTON as marketing manager, NICOLE LARKIN as creative lead and MATTHEW CRACK as front-end web designer. Channer has over 20 years industry experience and was most recently at MediaCom. Heinz-Thurston joins the team from Free the Children and has previously worked with brands including Burger King, Corona and PepsiCo. Larkin has both copy and visual expertise, as her roots are in editorial after spending 10 years at Metroland.

SDImktg appointed WILF GOODMAN as general manager of SDImktg Global. He previously held roles at Inventa and CIM, and has experience leading and building marketing agencies.
