On The Move: Praxis, M2, CFL make changes

A weekly recap of who's headed where in Canadian marketing and communications

Praxis promoted five employees. MATT JUNIPER was named account director and social strategist, ANDREA HELMER became an account director in the agency’s consumer practice, and ALEX THOMAS transitioned to account manager and social media manager for consumer lifestyle brands like spirits and automotive. CHRISTINA POZZOBON was named senior account executive after success in the spirits and hospitality account groups, and ALEXANDRA SIKLOS was promoted to senior account executive and community manager after demonstrating strong PR and social skills (all pictured above).

M2 hired HIBO ALI GRIFFIN as director of digital communications on its RBC account. She has more than nine years of experience in planning and managing digital, social and mobile marketing campaigns. ISHMA ALEXANDER-HUET, who has been with the company for a decade, was promoted to director of communication strategies. She will now direct strategy and planning for both traditional and digital media across a variety of key agency clients including Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada and Tourism PEI. RAICHELLE URSUA was also promoted to manager of communication strategies on the Dairy Farmers of Canada account. She began her career at the media agency and specializes in building strategic integrated media plans.

The Canadian Football League announced the promotion of TYLER MAZEREEUW to vice-president of the new corporate partnerships department. He will lead a team responsible for attracting new partners and maintaining current partners. CHRISTINA LITZ will take on an expanded role as VP of marketing and content. She was responsible for modernizing the CFL’s digital assets and managing its broadcast relationships, and will now also be responsible for marketing and events. MATT MAYCHAK became the VP of communications and public affairs after the role he played in leading and advising the CFL’s media, government and public relations.

District M added DANIEL DI TOMASO as an account executive. He has four years of experience in the digital and advertising industry, and will be responsible for the digital agency’s expansion into western Canada and Toronto. ALEXANDRE DESABRAIS also joined the team as an account executive. He began his career as a consultant for financial institutions; in his new role, Desabrais will ensure open communication with advertisers and agencies while helping clients reach their goals.
