Blue Ant Media appointed JAMIE SCHOUELA, formerly the media company’s EVP of marketing and communications to the newly created role of EVP, Canadian networks. He will lead the strategic direction of domestic television and digital properties. VANESSA CASE, the company’s EVP of content, has added leadership and strategic direction of its Makeful brand to her portfolio. MARCIA MARTIN, SVP of original content will focus on Blue Ant’s nature & wildlife original content, leading all aspects of content development, production and co-production. SIMON FOSTER, formerly the SVP of digital publishing and business development, is now the SVP of corporate development. JESSE DALLAL was hired as VP of product development. He will be tasked with the development and delivery of high-impact, digital products for Blue Ant Media’s core brands. LAURA PEARCE, who joined Blue Ant Media as VP, brand strategy and fan engagement a year ago, will expand her responsibilities with the company in the role of VP, marketing and digital. SAM LINTON take on the VP of production role, promoted from executive in charge of production.
MELS appointed MICHEL TRUDEL as president. He will be responsible for pursuing the film and television production company’s growth and will steer it through a new stage of development in Canada and abroad. He has been involved in Quebec’s film and TV industry since 1988; he founded Les locations, and was previously president of MELS’s soundstage and equipment division.
Captivate named JENNY THERRIAULT national sales director for the Ottawa and Montreal region. She worked most recently at Agence Rinaldi, where she was an account executive for nearly five years. She has client experience in industries like luxury auto, designer furniture and ski resorts.
Thinkingbox (staff pictured above) promoted NATASHA LAKHANI to associate director of operations, STEVIE WILD to associate director of production planning, and DAVID HOLICEK to associate director of content. Lakhani, who has been with the agency two years, will manage the day-to-day operations of the Vancouver, Toronto and LA offices. Wild, who was a senior digital producer, will now provide strategic support on new client initiatives. Holicek will oversee the production of 3D, motion and video content. JEAN-MICHEL SAULNIER was also promoted to senior creative technologist. He will provide direction on tech solutions for clients’ projects.
Lavery brought on JEAN-FRANÇOIS LÉVESQUE as its new chief client officer at the independent law firm. He will be working closely with the managing partner and the board of directors, and will play a leadership role in the firm’s client-focused approach, business development, marketing, and communications.
