Gorrie's Ryan Walker

TimePlay Inc. tapped JOSEPH PEIXOTO as strategic advisor to the CEO as part of its global growth strategy. Peixoto joined the Toronto-based company from RealD in Los Angeles, where he was President, Worldwide Cinema. Prior to RealD, Peixoto was president and CEO at United Cinemas International and president of Famous Players before that.

TARA WOOD joined Kaiser Lachance Communications as senior account director. Wood has 10 years of communications experience in the corporate, financial and non-profit sectors.  Prior to joining Kaiser Lachance, Wood oversaw the corporate business practice at Veritas Communications, where she served on accounts such as BlackRock, RBC, Microsoft and Expedia.ca.

Gorrie appointed RYAN WALKER to VP integration, a newly created position within the Toronto-based retail activation agency. Walker joined Gorrie from McLaren McCann Momentum where he held the VP, general manager title for over a year. During his 18-year career, Walker has also held senior level positions at BBDO Canada, Mars Advertising Canada and DraftFCB.

Toronto-based Rooster Post welcomed editor PAUL PROULX to its team. Before landing at Rooster, Proulx was a film editor at Married To Giants (formerly Stealing Time) and before that served as an assistant film editor at Third Floor Editing. He also worked as a freelance foley audio engineer at Deluxe Studios and the CBC, while working as a videographer and audio engineer at Zuka Interactive Services.

Chad Borlase

SapientNitro appointed CHAD BORLASE as creative director of visual design. Most recently a creative director at Cossette, Borlase has a long history in the Canadian ad industry working on high profile brands like Coca-Cola, General Motors, Microsoft and Rogers. Prior to his two-year tenure at Cossette, Borlase was digital creative director at Kolody. He also spent six years as co-creative director of Bos Advertising and held positions at Maclaren McCann, Publicis and Palmer Jarvis. He joins SapientNitro July 7.

Juice Mobile hired HILARY CHALMERS as junior account executive for sales planning and to aid the company’s Western Canadian operations. Chalmers was most recently a senior account manager at BroadbandTV and prior to that worked with CBS Interactive as an account executive.
