LEGER, THE RESEARCH INTELLIGENCE GROUP

Jacques Nantel, Leger’s new executive vice-president, consumer insights.

JACQUES NANTEL, a professor at HEC Montréal, joined Leger as executive vice-president, consumer insights. At HEC, Nantel has successively held positions of director of the marketing department, director of programs and secretary general. He has served on the boards of organizations such as Videotron, United Way of Greater Montreal, Hôtels Germain and Groupe Renaud-Bray.

Edelman appointed ERIN JACOBSON as vice-president, digital public affairs. She will be based out of the firm’s Toronto office. Jacobson was most recently with the Office of Thomas Mulcair, where she served as deputy director of strategic communications and previously as the director of communications for the New Democratic Party of Canada.

V Media Group appointed JEAN DUROCHER as executive vice-president and chief revenue officer, effective immediately. Durocher has held senior-level positions at media companies such as Gesca, La Presse, Québecor Communications, TQS and TVA.

Engine Digital promoted RYAN OPINA from director of user experience to vice-president, user experience. Prior to joining the agency in 2012, Opina served as user experience product manager at Microsoft’s Game Studio for more than two years and worked nearly six years with Nokia.

JASON LEWIN and RYAN THRASHER joined 6S Marketing’s Toronto office. Lewin, who has held roles at Rogers, Bank of Montreal and Jackman, started with the agency as VP Toronto. Thrasher joined 6S Marketing as an account executive. During his career, Thrasher has managed national accounts including Mazda, Nestle and Air Canada.
