SapientNitro hired ANDREW KIRBY VP of client services at its Toronto office. Kirby comes from Blast Radius, where he worked for ten years in various client-facing roles, most recently holding the position of SVP global delivery. Kirby will work on accounts in the Canadian retail sector and report to managing director Alyssa Altman. This morning it was announced that SapientNitro will be acquired by Publicis.
Rogers appointed DEEPAK KHANDELWAL to chief customer officer. He’ll be responsible for Rogers’ customer service strategy, call centres, go-to-market and online customer channels. Khandelwal was most recently VP of global customer experience at Google, where he revamped the company’s service program.
Videotron promoted three vice-presidents in Montreal. JULIE BRAULT is now VP of brand and interactive media, promoted from senior manager of online content. She will handle Videotron’s interactive and media operations. BERTRAND HÉBERT became VP of marketing, telecom, and is responsible for marketing the company’s internet, mobile and phone services. Finally, MARIE GINETTE LEPAGE stepped into the role of VP marketing, content and broadcasting, responsible for content development and cable TV service management.
TREVOR HODGSON joined Vancouver-based Lark Productions as chief operating officer. His background includes work for Paperny, Ranfilm and Movie Vista in both film production, business strategy and corporate affairs. At Lark he will oversee all legal affairs, finance and strategic planning.
SANDRA MARTIN became multiplatform editorial director of Canadian Living, a magazine published by TC Media. She came from Rogers Media, where she launched and directed the English- and French-language editions of Walmart Live Better magazine. Prior to working for Rogers she was weekend editor at the National Post. At TC she will take over from Jennifer Reynolds who left last month.
