Hunter Straker appointed a new creative director, GARY OAKLEY, to head the agency’s branding and package design groups. Oakley has more than 25 years experience in creative design and direction, having worked as CD at Anthem, the Watt Group and Perennial. At Hunter Straker he will work on creative for General Mills, Wrigley and Starbucks, among others.
Ambit brought on THOM ANTONIO as executive creative director in Toronto. Antonio comes from a role steering brand design at Grip, where he worked with Lindt, Dare and Stella Artois. Prior to that he held creative positions at John St. and the Watt Group.
KATHRYN TECTOR now leads the digital PR practice for National Public Relations, working out of its Halifax office as vice-president, digital. The position is a new one at the agency. In her previous work as director of user experience at T4G, she worked on interactive and content strategy, analytics and digital marketing for brands like Tourism New Brunswick and Parks Canada.
Zoom Media promoted two account directors to restructure and lead its sales division in Quebec. LINE DELISLE is now coaching and training director, Quebec, and NATHALIE MIGNAULT is sales director, Montreal. Delisle has worked as account director at Zoom since 2003; before that she worked for 16 years as sales director for TQS and Radio-Canada affiliates in Saguenay, Quebec. Mignault joined the Zoom team in 2012, from a position at Quebec alternative newspaper chain Communications Voir. Delisle and Mignault have been given a mandate to re-examine Zoom’s sales management and restructure the team as needed.
Thornley Fallis added senior account director, DEANNA JAMIESON, in Toronto. Jamieson will lead Thornley’s teams on integrated strategy solutions for clients, drawing on her experience launching and managing brands for Interbrand, Tag and G&A. She has worked with brands like Canadian Tire, ESSO, Scotiabank and the Toronto Blue Jays.
