Pierre Killeen joins Hill+Knowlton in Ottawa

PR vet becomes vice-president of the firm's public and corporate affairs team

Hill+Knowlton Canada has hired public engagement and strategic communications veteran Pierre Killeen as vice-president of the firm’s public and corporate affairs team in Ottawa.

Killeen was vice-president, public engagement at Thornley Fallis Communications in Ottawa for the last five years. One of his recent projects included a multi-platform public affairs campaign for the Canadian Medical Association on the transformation of Canada’s health care system that involved the participation of more than 20,000 Canadians.

He was also at Nanos Research from 2006 to 2009, where he designed, managed and lead the firm’s online public consultation practice.

“In the new world of public and corporate affairs, the single biggest change has been the power of the public and the biggest challenge is shaping the public environment in conjunction with policy, legislative and corporate objectives,” said Jackie King, general manager of H+K Ottawa, in a statement.
