Weber Shandwick Canada has named Rachel Yates its senior vice-president in Montreal.
“Rachel will be a key contributor and driving force as we expand Weber Shandwick’s presence in Quebec this year,” said Christian Marcoux, executive vice-president healthcare and managing director of the Montreal office, in a release.
Yates (top left) will be responsible for business growth and will support the Montreal office’s operational business needs. She will also oversee client business strategy and programming with Marcoux.
Yates has more than 20 years of experience in corporate communications, brand management, public affairs, strategic planning and financial communications.
Most recently, Yates was at Telus Health as director of marketing and strategic planning. Prior to that, she oversaw communications at Merck Canada and the McGill University Health Centre. She has also worked at Astral Media, National Public Relations and Concordia University.
In addition, Dana Frank has joined the Montreal office as an account manager on the corporate practice.
Frank was previously a communications coordinator for special projects at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, with responsibilities that included organizational, employee and crisis communications. She was also responsible for planning and executing organization-wide programs.
