Shaun Poole returns to Hill+Knowlton in Vancouver

Public relations firm also makes changes to the team in its Toronto office

Shaun Poole, who worked at Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) offices in Istanbul, Turkey and Nairobi, Kenya during the past two years, has returned to Canada to work in the firm’s Vancouver office.

Poole will be a senior account director and oversee public engagement and corporate communications initiatives.

He worked in Istanbul as client service director and led international accounts in the energy and media industries. In Nairobi, Poole served as regional director and was responsible for driving H+K growth in Sub Saharan Africa as well as providing senior level strategic counsel to clients

Poole started at H+K in Vancouver in 2010, as an account director working for corporate and non-profit clients in a variety of sectors. Prior to that, he worked for the organizing committee for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games as venue press manager, manager of operations communications and manager of community relations.

In addition, Mark Rawlinson has joined H+K in Toronto as associate creative director to bolster its expanding creative department. He was previously creative group head at BIMM. The South African born Rawlinson began his career there and has also worked in London.

Also in Toronto, Allison Dewhirst, who was previously an account director, has been promoted to senior account director. She has been with H+K since 2007. Dewhirst specializes in technology, strategic counsel and message development for B2B and consumer clients.
