Canadian digital agency Soshal is opening its first U.S. office in Chicago.

Soshal recently signed a partnership to provide user interface design to U.S. technology company Wave6. As part of the partnership, Soshal will expand south of the border.

The new office will be home to three account directors, and will be managed by CEO and founder Dave Hale. Hale will continue to oversee the agency’s Toronto office as well.

Founded in 2010 by 30 Under 30 alumnus Hale, Soshal builds user interfaces and web experiences for digital marketing products. Colleges and universities have been a big focus for the agency, which designed web presences for Algonquin College in Ottawa and York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto.

Soshal currently employs 25 across its offices in Ottawa, Toronto and Calgary, but is in the process of expanding its production team. Hale told Marketing the production hires will bring the total headcount to 35.
