Tribal Worldwide Canada announced Cameron Wilson as a new creative director in Vancouver.
Wilson has been working as a consultant since 2014 when he left an interactive creative director position at Cossette in Montreal. Prior to that, Wilson had worked at Ogilvy & Mather in India and Dentsubos in Montreal.
Andrew McCartney, the agency’s national president, said, “after an extensive global search, we knew we found the best person to recharge the Tribal creative force in the Pacific North West when we met Cameron.”
Wilson will join the Vancouver office’s creative group, which includes talent from DDB Canada, Tribal Worldwide and Karacters Design Group. The agency says his role is to help brands explore and experiment with modern ways to connect with their consumers on digital and integrated assignments, working closely under executive creative director Dean Lee.
With 17 years of industry experience, Wilson has led teams providing digital solutions for clients like the Royal Canadian Mint, Aeroplan, General Mills and IBM. His work has won awards at Cannes, One Show, and D&D.
Wilson said, “the opportunity to move to Vancouver was attractive, but equally so was the opportunity to work with a highly skilled team that has a reputation for being creative and collaborative, as well as having a strong social conscience.”
