Wong joins the advertising software company from Exponential and now oversees day-to-day account management. Previously, Wong has held roles at Yahoo Canada and ICOM Information and Communications, a data management company.

Wong reports to Dana Toering, who was named managing director for TubeMogul in Canada in March.

Lionis, meanwhile, has been with the company since February, having previously worked as director of digital marketing and strategy at Corby Spirit and Wine. His experience stretches back 15 years across digital roles at both agencies (Publicis, Ogilvy & Mather) and client organizations (Sobeys).

“I’ve always been fascinated with technology as it relates to marketing,” Leonis said. “The opportunity to join a company that’s been at the epicentre of the revolution was too good to pass up. At Corby, I was involved in launching programmatic here in Canada, which became a model we rolled out globally for Pernod Ricard… I was always trying to push the boundaries. I’ve always wanted to work in this space, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work at a company that’s at the centre of it.”

Now reporting to Grant le Riche, Tubemogul’s vice-president of strategic partnerships, Lionis will develop strategies with brand clients.
