2014 Media Player of the Year shortlist revealed

The editorial team is proud to present its picks for 2014’s top media players

Unlike previous years, Marketing has only named five companies to its list of Media Player contenders in 2014. This is not because there was a shortage of innovation or big business among those who connect brands with audiences. But, while change has been constant across the entire marketing industry, no where have things shifted more than in the media realm. The Media Player category is no longer just about legacy publishers and broadcasters.

Whether it was leading the industry into uncharted programmatic territory or building new products to reach new audiences, these five companies found sure footing in a year of tremendous change. They weren’t the only newsmakers of 2014, but they will be the ones viewed as game changers by those following in their footsteps.

You can find out who will be named our Media Player of the Year on Feb. 4 at our Best of 2014 cocktail party. Want to attend? Lots of important people will be there. Click here for tickets.
