2015 Media Innovation Awards Call for Entries

Meet this year's co-chairs and learn more about the Best Idea Award

Marketing is now accepting entries to the 2015 Media Innovation Awards, the 16th edition of the Canadian media industry’s most prestigious awards program.

We’re honoured to have two incredible co-chairs leading our (to be announced) MIAs jury this year. Ann Stewart (pictured left) is president of Maxus Canada, and brings 25 years of experience with her in guiding the jury as they select this year’s winners. Her partner will be Lisa Munro, senior director of corporate partnerships for the Edmonton Oilers. Before joining the Oilers team nine years ago, Lisa spent 15 years with CIBC.

call for entries

Working with our co-chairs, we’ve made some important updates to the MIAs categories this year, including new awards for programmatic advertising campaigns, and a new system of judging events and media buying programs by their budget spend.

We’ve also introduced a brand new award this year that we hope our readers will get on board with. The Best Idea Award will be the industry’s choice for the most thought-provoking concept they saw in Canadian media this year. It may not have had the biggest budget, but it made us all stop and think, “I wish I had thought of that.” We need your (free) submissions and ideas to this category so that the jury can select the top four entries during the judging days in early October. We’ll then put these top four entries to a public vote and announce the winner at our Media Innovation Awards Gala on November 12th in Toronto. Let us know what you thought was the Best Idea of 2015.

Remember the deadline for this year’s MIAs call for entries is fast approaching! Make your submissions by September 9th, 5:00pm EST for a chance to win gold in 2015.

Side Note: Tickets to the MIAs Gala are now available for sale. Register online at the MIAs website.
