Dear Marketing reader,
This is one of those “big idea” moments.
Brunico Communications is the new publisher of Marketing.
You likely already know us. Since Strategy launched in 1989 we’ve built products like Media In Canada, Stimulant, Strategy’s Agency of the Year, the Creative Report Card, AToMiC Awards and Shopper Marketing Forum that deliver on our tagline promise of “bold vision and brand new ideas”, and we collaborate on partner events like the Cassies.
What you may not know is that Brunico’s portfolio also includes film and TV journal Playback, the Banff World Media Festival and the leading international brands covering the global children’s entertainment business and the global non-fiction content market, Kidscreen and Realscreen, respectively.
So we’re very focused on the intersection of marketing, media and content, and we’ve always been aware of the urgency to keep evolving as market needs change.
Now we have the opportunity to combine the heritage Marketing brand with the younger Strategy brand to bring the marketing community the best of both worlds.
In the interim, you’ll continue to receive your daily Marketing Morning Filter. As we integrate the brands, the segmented weekly Filter newsletters – including Consumer Insights, Marketing Tech, Media Filter, PR Filter and C-Suite Filter – will largely be on pause, and you’ll receive an invitation to try out related Strategy newsletters.
Ultimately, the combined resources of the Marketing and Strategy teams and the CARD and Media In Canada teams will allow us to produce even stronger products, programs and coverage for all sectors of the industry.
So let us know what’s important to you. Share your feedback on how you’d like to see us evolve, and hopefully, the new cohesive offering will reflect our collective love of the business.
Cheers,
MM
